Privacy Policy for Adam Health App

1. Introduction

Adam Health Limited ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you use our mobile application, the Adam Health App ("App"), which connects to the Adam Sensor—a wearable erection health tracker.

By using our App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. This Privacy Policy is designed to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable laws. Adam Health Limited is based in the United Kingdom, and all references to "you" or "your" in this policy refer to users of the Adam Health App.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of data from users of our App:

  • Email Address: This is required for account setup and communications with us.

  • Sensor Data: This includes measurements collected from the Adam Sensor, which monitors nighttime tumescence (erection data).

  • Health Questionnaire Data: Information you provide in response to health-related questions in the App, collected through Typeform.

  • Device and Operating System Data: Information about the device you use (such as make and model) and your operating system to help us debug technical issues.

  • App Usage and Analytics Data: Includes anonymous data on how you interact with the App (e.g., crash reports) for internal analysis and improvements.

We do not collect any location data or other personally identifiable information apart from your email and health-related information voluntarily provided within the app.

3. How We Use Your Data

We only use the data collected through the Adam Health App for the following purposes:

  • Measurement Analysis: To analyze your erection health based on the sensor data you provide.

  • Customer Support: To assist you with any issues you might experience with the App or Adam Sensor.

  • Internal Research: Periodically, we anonymize and aggregate user data to analyze trends for research and academic purposes.

  • App Performance Monitoring: To improve the user experience by identifying bugs, crashes, and usage patterns.

We will never use your personal data for any purposes other than those described above without your explicit consent.

4. Automated Decision-Making and Profiling

While our algorithms analyze the data collected from the Adam Sensor to present results and insights, they do not make predictions or automated decisions about your health or wellbeing. The analysis is used to provide you with visualized trends and insights to help you understand your data, but no health diagnoses or future predictions are made based on this analysis.

5. Children's Privacy

The Adam Health App is not intended for use by children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided us with personal data, we will take steps to delete such data from our systems. If you believe that we might have any information from or about a child under 16, please contact us at support@talktoadam.com.

6. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored securely on servers located within the European Economic Area (EEA). We use Hetzner Online GmbH (https://www.hetzner.com/), a GDPR-compliant cloud storage and server hosting provider, for our secure storage and hosting needs. Hetzner ensures that our data remains encrypted and protected from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.

Additionally, our email communications are handled through Google Cloud accounts, and we may share and communicate data through these accounts. Google Cloud is GDPR-compliant, and all data shared through email is done securely.

Our website is hosted on Squarespace, which is GDPR-compliant and adheres to data protection regulations.

We use Typeform to collect and process answers to health questionnaires within the app. Typeform is also GDPR-compliant and processes data securely within the EEA.

Our contractors are all based within the UK and the EEA, and we do not engage with any third parties or processors outside of these regions.

7. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data under the following legal bases:

  • Consent: We rely on your consent to collect and process sensitive health data (e.g., sensor data and health questionnaire responses).

  • Contractual Necessity: Processing is necessary to perform the services outlined in our agreement with you (e.g., analyzing data from the sensor and providing customer support).

  • Legitimate Interests: We process certain data (e.g., device and operating system data) to improve our App’s functionality and resolve technical issues.

8. Data Breach Notification

In the event of a personal data breach, we will notify affected users and relevant supervisory authorities within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, as required by GDPR.

9. Data Retention

We will retain your data for as long as necessary to provide the services outlined in this Privacy Policy or to comply with legal obligations:

  • App Data: Retained for as long as you maintain an account, unless you request deletion.

  • Health Data: Retained for as long as necessary for research and analysis purposes, but anonymized after a period of time.

  • Crash Logs and Analytics Data: Retained for 12 months to analyze and improve app performance.

You can request the deletion of your individual measurement data or all of your data by contacting us at support@talktoadam.com.

10. Anonymization

Data collected from the App is anonymized and linked only to a system-generated user ID and the email address provided upon registration. This ensures that your identity remains protected, and the data we use for analysis cannot be directly traced back to you.

12. Sharing of Data

We do not share your data with any third parties for marketing purposes. All data is processed internally by Adam Health Limited, and the third-party services we use (e.g., Google Cloud, Squarespace, Hetzner, Typeform) are GDPR-compliant and act as data processors on our behalf. These processors only access your data to provide services to us and do not use it for any other purposes.

13. Cross-Border Data Transfers

All data is stored and processed within the EEA. We do not transfer your personal data outside the EEA.
